Myofascial refers to the pain and inflammation suffered in the body’s soft tissues. Myofascial cupping is a form of release and trigger point therapy, combining various massage and stretching techniques along with the application of pressurised (i.e. suction) cups.
Myofascial aims to help lift and separate soft tissue allowing for greater fluid movement and nutrient supply throughout the soft tissues, which nourishes, detoxifies, stimulates and helps to increase ranges of motion.
Commonly beginning with palpation and general massage in order to locate and pinpoint the target areas. Due to the nourishing, detoxifying and stimulating properties, this relatively new form of massage has been found to work wonders with the treatment of scar tissues, adhesions, stretch marks, cellulite and also in aiding of their prevention.
Myofascial cupping differs from traditional cupping in the way of strategic placement and parking the cups along the pathways of the body, aiming to directly treat the affected and targeted tissues, leaving little to no markings.
